Doge Protocol aspires be a combination of decentralized networks, smart contracts and decentralized apps (dapps), that form the backbone of this decentralization initiative. The primary component of Doge Protocol would be a quantum-resistant blockchain that supports smart contracts, side chains and is scalable in the number of transactions.
One of the visions of the Doge Protocol is that it should be secure in the future as well. Security itself evolves over time, hence no algorithm should be deemed future proof, including current quantum-resistant algorithms. However, but from the current landscape, quantum computers are a viable threat to blockchains. Hence the vision is to build a blockchain that is resistant to currently known quantum computer threats and keep it evolving based on the changing security landscape.
Satellite Chains are other blockchains of the protocol that support other use cases like audio & video streaming, file storage, key-value systems etc. Not to be confused with “side chains”, these satellite chains would be loosely coupled with the main blockchain and expose a different set of capabilities. Satellite chains may also use a different coin but would integrate into the main chain. More on this in a follow-up whitepaper.

Doge Protocol (dogep) Tokenomics

Doge Protocol was launched in a fair manner on the Ethereum Blockchain on September 1, 2021. 100% of the total supply was added to UniSwap and SushiSwap. The liquidty was locked in UniCrypt (Uni,Sushi). The token's Smart Contract can be reviewed on EtherScan.

  • There was no presale or ICO.
  • Community Project, there is no centralized team.
  • Total supply: 100 trillion.

Note that only wallets that had DogeP ERC20 tokens as of snapshot date (July 1st 2023) are able to get DP coins in the quantum resistant blockchain. The DogeP ERC20 tokens after that are for community projects like Gamechain.

Satellite Chains

Doge Protocol would use a hybrid proof-of-stake consensus system with pluggable satellite-chain support, high TPS and low gas fee. A follow-up whitepaper would detail the new "propose oppose" PoS consensus. Satellite chains would provide support for decentralized media streaming, decentralized file storage, decentralized key value storage, decentralized instant messaging systems.
